[Press Release] - Online Bootcamp to coach entrepreneurs to raise Series A investment
29 May 2020. As part of the InvestHorizon Acceleration Programme, 30 companies have received an online coaching on how to create their investment strategy, how to develop their business plan, and learn about the importance of their teams.
InvestHorizon offered the opportunity to meet peer entrepreneurs, coaches and investors for three days. Organised by InvestHorizon’s partner bwcon, the companies benefited from the wised guidance and expert advice from our three coaches: Mikko Suonenlahti (Build Tech Businesses), Ed Capaldi (Ed Capaldi) and Paul Gillespie (sh Gillamor Stephens).
Kicking of the bootcamp, Mikko Suonenlahti with more than 35 years of startup experience, director of three funds and chair of pre-seed and seed stage fund VC, brought all his energy and enthusiasm for the companies and gave them clear tips on what to do and don’t do during the fundraising process of series A.
Followed the second day by Ed Capaldi a strategic advisor and coach to high-octane forward-thinking, the companies understood the importance of a good business model to convince the investors.
Finally, Paul Gillespie put his knowledge and skills to build disruptive technology companies to show companies the importance of having a good team, that fits the needs of your business and how to make sure you have the right management.

What to expect from InvestHorizon?
InvestHorizon champions 500 selected high-tech entrepreneurs to do much better and to raise an ambitious Series A investment round together with their supporting investors through an individual program customized to the investment-readiness needs and challenges of each company. The companies are selected through repeating calls for applications from SMEs every 6 months till the middle of 2021.
