Dr. John J. O'Flaherty, BEng, PhD, MBA, directs all of MAC’s work. John has 35 years experience of technical project management and development, with particular skills in tracking technology innovations, trends and opportunities, and engineering these into commercial products for global markets. John joined MAC as Managing Director in 1987. Prior to that, he was Technical Director of Intelligence Ireland, a technical software development company, Senior Development Engineer at RTE (Irish broadcaster) and completed a major software simulation of communications satellite systems at UCD. John has initiated, assembled consortia, project-managed and successfully completed 17 multi-national EU technology projects, with leading organisations across Europe. He has provided extensive technical consultancy, and undertaken many project reviews and evaluations for the European Commission and EUREKA EuroStars.
