Prof. Andres Iborra

Andrés Iborra is full professor of electronics technology and head of the Cloud Incubator HUB at the Technical University of Cartagena (UPCT), where he has been since 1998. Dr. Iborra has a Ph.D. (1993), a M.Sc. (1989) in industrial engineering from the Technical University of Madrid (UPM), and a B.Sc. (1985) in industrial engineering from the University of Murcia. Prior to his M.Sc. he joined CRISA (joint venture between Abengoa Electric Coorporation and Matra) and he was assigned to the space electronics division (1986-1989). Upon the completition of his PhD, Iborra joined ENWESA (joint venture between Westinghouse Electric Coorporation and Equipos Nucleares S.A.). His current research interests include wireless sensor and actuator networks (WSAN) and Internet of things.He is founder and CEO of Cloud Incubator HUB, founder of Widhoc and Appduino (Spin-offs of the UPCT) and mentor of about 30 Startups of the Cloud Incubator HUB (
